How many employees do I need?
On your busiest days, you’ll need minimal employees. We have national partners to help recruit the right employees for your location.
Do I need a general manager for each location?
No. A general manager is not required for each location. Thanks to our intentionally lean operating model, simple proprietary protein smoothie formulas, and minimal staffing requirements, the business is designed to scale efficiently.
One district manager can oversee 3–5 locations, supported by one shift leader per store and hourly team members.
Do you help me find a location?
Yes. We use AI-driven trade-area analysis, combined with experienced real estate professionals, to identify high-volume, health-minded markets. Our team prioritizes prime “main-and-main” locations near complementary fitness and wellness businesses—such as gyms, yoga studios, and other health-focused concepts—where visibility and daily traffic are already strong.
What are the general operation hours of a location?
HB Protein Smoothie locations are open 7 days a week. Monday – Friday 7:00am – 6:00pm. Saturday 8:00am – 4:00pm. Sunday 9:00am – 3:00pm.
Are the build-out options flexible? What’s required for franchise build-out?
Yes. HB Protein Smoothies has a simple buildout enabling franchisees the opportunity to convert a current location, both in-line or on end caps. Franchisees can also choose to offer drive-thru if they prefer.
The streamlined build-out requires only freezers, an ice machine, a refrigerator, and commercial blenders—eliminating the need for hoods, vents, ovens, or expensive kitchen infrastructure. Equipment is sourced through vetted national suppliers.
How does HB Protein Smoothies manage its supply line for consistent inventory?
We use proprietary smoothie formulas that are packaged by vetted national suppliers, ensuring consistent quality and reliable inventory across all locations.
What kind of POS system does HB Protein Smoothies use?
To simplify operations, HB Protein Smoothies operates on Clover POS, a proven cloud-based platform that is intuitive, fast to implement, and built to scale. The system also powers our integrated loyalty program, helping drive repeat business.
Where is HB Protein Smoothies headed in the next 5-10 years?
